A Co-founder of NYC Medics and a former paramedic in New York during the late 1980s and ’90s, Steve is Co-founder and President of Voicethread.com, a collaborative web tool used by educators and professionals globally.
A public heath professional, Kathy is a passionate champion for those off the grid, directing NYC Medics’ national and international teams and events and raising millions of dollars for humanitarian efforts throughout the world.
Dr. Noste is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and an Associate Clinical Professor within the Department of Emergency Medicine at University of San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Noste is the EMS/Base Hospital Director at EL Centro Regional Medical Center and the EMS Fellowship Program Director for UCSD. Dr. Noste completed fellowships in Operational and Disaster Medicine and Emergency Medical Service.
Alexandra has worked extensively in the Advertising and Technology industry as both a consultant and full-time Executive. She also held various roles as a CFO and financial operations specialist. Alexandra was a teaching fellow through Princeton in Asia at Khon Kaen University. Alexandra received both her BSE in Civil Engineering and Operations Research and her Master of Finance degree from Princeton University.
Former Medic, Coast Guardsman, and Co-Founder of NYCMedics, Chris is a Cardio-Thoracic Surgery and Critical Care Physician Assistant with extensive experience in disaster response. A talented and natural teacher, Chris has also served as an effective liaison with local communities throughout NYCMedics disaster response efforts.
As former US Navy Corpsman, Steve has extensive experience in adult and pediatric critical care as well as trauma medicine. He now works as a paramedic in Westchester, New York and also serves as a rescue medic for the county’s technical rescue team.
The role of our Board of Directors is to ensure that NYCMedics is accomplishing its mission by providing oversight and guidance on operations and by monitoring the finances of the organization. Board members also contribute to NYCM by being advocates for the organization, leading organizational strategy and planning, fundraising and building our network of supports. Directors are volunteers who serve without pay.
